Darla studied dance at the Corrine Gangi Dance Center from the age of three. Over the past 20 years, she has become proficient in the areas of tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip-hop and modern. For four years she worked as an assistant teacher and is now in her seventh year as a full member of the faculty teaching tap, jazz, ballet and hip-hop. One of Darla's most noteworthy accomplishments is the Earth Share benefit she planned in 2004. This innovative young woman created, organized and directed a talent show to raise funds for the environmental group Earth Share of New Jersey. Dozens of local students participated in the charity performance and donated their time and money to the cause. In 2002, Darla's dancing won her the First Runner-Up title in the Miss Pitman Pageant, the same year she graduated from Pitman High School as an honors student. She is a recent graduate of Rowan University's Theater and Dance Program for Child Drama. Darla is also a DancElectric company member and guest choreographer.
